Azpilicueta ‘sure’ Pulisic will be very important for Chelsea this season | World Soccer Fans

Pulisic struggling for game time

Christian Pulisic would join Chelsea over the summer from German outfit, Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea agreed what was reported to be a £58m fee for Pulisic in January before loaning him back to

BVB for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign.

However, despite his hefty price-tag, Pulisic has found game time rather hard to come by recently.

The American has played four Premier League games this season. But he has only made the bench in Chelsea’s last three league outings.

Pulisic was only a benchwarmer vs Valencia in the Champions League as well and then when Chelsea took on Lille this past Wednesday, the winger was completely omitted from the matchday squad.

Despite his recent lack of minutes, Cezar Azpilicueta is sure Pulisic will be very important for Chelsea this season:

“As the manager said, we are a group, we are all important on this long path, we are only in October.

“Sometimes the manager has to make decisions, but I see him [Pulisic] working hard in training.

“What I can say is to encourage him to keep working, because we know it is a new country, a new team, a bit of time of adaption is needed.

“I see his character, working hard in training, and I’m sure he will be very important for us for the season.” As quoted by Goal.
