As per a report from Spanish outlet El Desmarque, Dani Ceballos has made it clear to parent club Real Madrid that he has his heart set on joining Arsenal on a permanent basis next summer.
Ceballos joins Gunners
On the back of a somewhat hit-and-miss couple of seasons at the Bernabeu following his arrival from Real Betis, Spanish midfielder Ceballos was hotly-tipped for a departure from Madrid throughout the summer.
The likes of Tottenham and AC Milan were named as keen suitors of the all-action midfielder.
In the end, though, it was Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal who clinched a deal for Ceballos.
The 23-year-old made the move to the Emirates on loan for the 2019/20 campaign:

Ceballos has since gone on to endure a somewhat hit-and-miss stint in the colours of the Gunners.
Though he has enjoyed starring performances versus the likes of Burnley and Bournemouth, the Spaniard has actually only managed starts in 7 of the club’s 12 Premier League fixtures to this point in the campaign.
Nevertheless, many feel as though Ceballos, with his technical ability and superb engine, once fully settled, could prove the long-term replacement for Aaron Ramsey in Arsenal’s midfield ranks.
As such, questions have already begun to circulate regarding whether or not the board at the Emirates may be able to coax Real Madrid into a permanent sale next summer, with Arsenal’s loan deal for the 23-year-old not containing an option to buy.
As per the aforementioned report from El Desmarque, though, if Ceballos himself has his way, then his stint in north London is set to stem beyond this season.
This comes amid claims that the 8-time capped La Roja international has his heart set firmly on remaining with Arsenal.
During a meeting with Real president Florentino Perez last week, Ceballos is said to have informed the patron that he wants Los Blancos to reach an agreement with the Gunners, over a permanent transfer.
El Desmarque also provide an insight into Ceballos’ price-tag.
The board at the Bernabeu are reportedly ready to part with their out-of-favour midfielder for €35 million.
