Leicester’s Hamza Choudhury racially abused

Leicester have contacted the police following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Anfield.

That’s after Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury was subjected to racial online abuse after the Premier League match.

Choudhury injured Mohamed Salah with two minutes of regulation time on the clock.

The Leicester defensive midfielder mistimed a sliding tackle on Salah.

As a result, Choudhury, who was only booked for his poor tackle, left Salah limping.

Liverpool: Mohamed Salah injury update

Liverpool fans are now waiting to find out just how bad Salah’s ankle injury is.

After the match, Jurgen Klopp said the following about his Egyptian forward:

Mo is lying in the dressing room. How can he be okay? We don’t know how he is, but that’s hard.

Perhaps, the only good news for Liverpool and Salah is that the forward now has two weeks off.

It had already been confirmed that Salah was omitted from Egypt’s upcoming get-together in the international break.

The hope will be that Salah’s ankle injury will heal by the time the Premier League restarts.

Liverpool’s next league match is away at Man United on October 20.

Liverpool 2 – Leicester 1

An injury-time penalty from James Milner won the match for Liverpool.

Milner set up Liverpool’s opener in the first-half, when his forward pass released Sadio Mane who finished with aplomb.

James Maddison scored for Leicester in the second-half.
