Azerbaijan vs Wales

Wales take on Azerbaijan on Saturday afternoon in a must-win tie.

Wales currently sit down in 4th place in their Euro 2020 qualifying group.

Currently, Wales’ chances of making it into a qualification spot are small but it is still possible.

Wales are four points behind 2nd place Hungary and they have two ties left to play.

Hungary have just one Euro 2020 qualifier left to play and it is actually against Wales on Tuesday the 19th of November.

So, should Wales manage to amass the maximum points from their next games, they will be in with a good shout of qualifying for Euro 2020.

Bale on playing for Wales

One of Wales’ standout stars for many years now has been Gareth Bale.

Bale is currently playing his club football with Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

Bale looked set to leave Real over the summer but no move materialised.

His relationship with current Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has never seemed too great either.

So, it probably won’t come as too much of a surprise to Madrid fans when Bale admitted he has a bit more excitement playing for Wales:

“With Wales, I’m speaking my own language and feeling more comfortable.

“I definitely have a bit more excitement playing for Wales.

“I’ve been with most of the players, especially the older ones, since we were in the Under-17s. It’s like playing with your mates down the park on a Sunday.

“But it still doesn’t change what I give on the pitch. I always give 100% wherever I am, and that’s what I always strive to do.” As quoted by the BBC.
